Fully funded MSCA Doctoral Network PhD opportunity in functional micronutrient status in critically ill patients at Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam UMC) in the Netherlands.
This 48-month doctoral project is part of the BIO-MICRO programme and focuses on developing innovative diagnostic methods to assess micronutrient status in critically ill patients. The research combines clinical nutrition, molecular biology, biochemistry, laboratory medicine, precision healthcare, biomarker analysis, clinical studies, and statistical modelling.
The host institution is Amsterdam UMC, specifically the Department of Intensive Care Medicine and the Amsterdam UMC Doctoral School. Funding includes a fully funded 4-year PhD appointment with a €4,010/month living allowance, €710/month mobility allowance, and €660/month family allowance where applicable, subject to MSCA and Dutch employment regulations.
Eligibility: applicants should have a Master’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, nutrition, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, or a related discipline. Strong English communication skills, knowledge of statistics and data analysis, compliance with the MSCA Mobility Rule, and no existing PhD are required.
