About this position

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 are now open for excellent researchers holding a PhD who want to strengthen their research profile through international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility.

The call supports postdoctoral research projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, with opportunities to work in Europe (EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries) or in a Third Country not associated to Horizon Europe. Applications are submitted jointly by the researcher and a host beneficiary in the academic or non-academic sector.

Two fellowship routes are available: European Postdoctoral Fellowships for researchers of any nationality moving to or within Europe, and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships for European nationals or long-term residents with an outgoing phase abroad followed by a return phase in Europe.

The scheme is designed for advanced training, new skills development, and research and innovation projects across fields such as biology, medical science, chemistry, physics, computer science, and environmental science, depending on the host project.

Deadline: 9 September 2026, 17:00 CEST. Opening date: 9 April 2026. Indicative budget: EUR 399.05 million.

Interested applicants should review the full call details on the EU Funding & Tenders portal and identify a suitable host organisation before submitting a joint proposal.
