About this position

PhD opportunity in Precision Medicine from Graph-Based Medical Digital Twins at the University of Copenhagen, within the Rasmussen Group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR).

The project focuses on AI, bioinformatics, genomics, multi-omics, and longitudinal health data to build medical digital twins for understanding and predicting cardiometabolic disease. The lab works at the intersection of data science, biology, and medicine, with close collaboration with clinical and international partners.

This is a PhD opening with an initial 1-year Research Assistant period followed by 3 years as PhD fellow, subject to positive evaluation. The position is part of the CBMR International PhD & Postdoc Program.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a Master’s degree equivalent to a Danish two-year master’s degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related sciences, obtained before 2026-11-15. The post also asks for a strong interest in applying AI to health data, excellent English communication skills, and relevant academic/professional background such as GPA, publications, and work experience.
