Research tasks include synthesis of redox-active monomers and polymers, structural and electrochemical characterization, coupling polymers with photocatalytic units, and investigation of photocatalytic reactions such as hydrogen evolution or alcohol oxidation. The role is well suited to candidates interested in energy materials, sustainable batteries, and functional polymer systems.

Eligibility highlights: a master’s degree in chemistry or a comparable field; extensive experience in organic chemistry and/or polymer chemistry; experience in organic synthesis and ideally polymer synthesis; analytical skills for polymer characterization; very good knowledge of electrochemistry and ideally photocatalysis; strong written and spoken English.

Funding and contract: fixed-term appointment for 36 months, with salary according to TVöD-Bund. The post offers an international, interdisciplinary environment, graduate-program participation, flexible working arrangements, and standard public-sector benefits.
