About this position

The University of Luxembourg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Integrative Cell Signalling Group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB). This interdisciplinary research centre is renowned for its work in systems biology and biomedicine, with a particular focus on neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Alexander Skupin, contributing to multiscale analysis of brain disorders by combining experimental and computational approaches.

The main responsibilities include performing research on Parkinson's disease using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and characterizing molecular impairments associated with the disease. The position offers a dynamic, international, and collaborative research environment, with access to high-quality equipment and infrastructure.

Applicants should hold a PhD in molecular biology, systems biomedicine, or a related field, and have demonstrated expertise in iPSC biology. Experience with Parkinson's disease research is advantageous. The contract is fixed-term for 8 months, with a yearly gross salary of EUR 83,099.

The University of Luxembourg values inclusivity and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds. To apply, candidates must submit their application online, including a CV, cover letter, and contact information and recommendation letters from at least two referees.
