About this position
Postdoctoral Associate positions are open in the Diao Lab at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, United States.
The lab works in regeneration genomics and uses genomics, proteomics, epigenomics, single-cell multi-omics, and perturbation approaches to study how gene regulation and chromatin organization control cell fate, tissue regeneration, aging, and disease.
Research directions include regenerative immunotherapy and CAR T-based tissue repair, transposable elements in aging and degenerative disease, and epigenomics, genome organization, enhancer-promoter communication, and gene regulatory networks in development, regeneration, and disease. Models may include patient samples, mouse models, and iPSC-derived brain and cardiac organoids.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent in a relevant field such as biology, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, immunology, or bioengineering. Experience with genomics, epigenomics, single-cell technologies, stem cell biology, muscle biology, aging, immunology, gene and cell therapy, computational analysis, or animal models is especially encouraged.
The position is onsite. The lab emphasizes collaboration, independent research development, publication, conference presentations, and preparation for academic or industry careers. Applications are reviewed immediately and accepted until the positions are filled.
To apply, submit materials through the Duke Careers portal and email a cover letter, CV, three references, and optional representative publications/preprints to diaolabjobs@duke.edu.
