About this position

Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

This postdoctoral opening is part of 3AforCT: AI-Guided, Authentic, Ag-STEM Inquiry for Cultivating Computational Thinking in Rural Middle Schools, an NSF CAREER project. The project combines AI-supported learning, computational thinking, Ag-STEM education, and design-based research in partnership with rural educators.

The successful candidate will contribute to school-based research, teacher co-design, classroom implementation, mixed-methods and multimodal analysis, project coordination, and mentoring junior researchers. The role also includes opportunities to co-author publications, present at scholarly and practitioner venues, and help develop open educational resources.

Research themes: K-12 STEM education, computing education, environmental sensors, real-world data, generative AI tools, classroom implementation, teacher co-design, and evidence-based curriculum refinement.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD by the date of appointment in learning sciences, educational technology, computing or computer science education, educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, STEM education, or a closely related field. Preferred experience includes K-12 STEM/computing education, classroom-based research, human subjects research with minors, qualitative/quantitative/mixed-methods analysis, and familiarity with tools such as R, Python, SPSS, NVivo, or MAXQDA.
