The successful candidate will work on developing new emissive molecules and assessing their suitability for optoelectronic devices, in close collaboration with computational and device-oriented researchers. The project is embedded in a broader research environment involving PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and other co-investigators at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as collaborating Polish and international institutions.

This is a full-time temporary postdoctoral position for 24 months, with a possible extension up to 60 months. The salary is funded by an NCN grant and is stated as 11666.66 PLN gross gross per month (approximately 9700 PLN gross), with additional benefits including private medical care and co-financing of sports cards. The post is not funded by an EU Framework Programme.

Applicants should hold a PhD in chemistry or materials science, or expect to complete the PhD before employment begins. The profile requested includes strong expertise in organic chemistry, preferably organoboron chemistry, photophysical characterization, NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy, quantum yield measurements, molecular modelling, and data analysis. Publication record, independent scientific ability, teamwork, mentoring experience, and strong English proficiency are also important. Knowledge of computational methods is considered an advantage.

The application deadline is 15 August 2026 at 23:59 (Europe/Warsaw). Applications should be submitted by email to rekrutacja@icho.edu.pl, with the subject line “Recruitment – Mykhaylo Potopnyk”.
