About this position

Yale University’s Wu Tsai Institute is offering Postdoctoral Fellowships in interdisciplinary neuroscience for early-career researchers interested in the integrated study of the brain, human cognition, and human potential.

The fellowship supports projects that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries using experimental, computational, or theoretical methods. Fellows can pursue co-mentored projects across disciplines, transition into a new field with a Wu Tsai Faculty Mentor, or develop open-ended computational/theoretical work on neuroscience data and concepts. Projects focused on disease mechanisms alone are not suitable for this call.

Funding: $80,000 annual salary for up to three years, plus $2,000 in discretionary funds, access to shared research facilities, high-performance computing, internal research funding opportunities, and structured mentoring and professional development.

Eligibility: Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent awarded by the start of the fellowship and within the last 3 years. The call is open to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Current Yale postdocs and PhD students are not eligible.

Location: New Haven, Connecticut, United States.

Deadline: October 1, 2026. Fellows are expected to begin by September 1, 2026.

How to apply: Submit materials online through Interfolio, including a cover letter, research statement and interdisciplinary training plan, social impact statement, two recommendation letters, and a current CV. If you propose mentored research, name the Wu Tsai Faculty mentors and include email evidence of their interest.
