Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), Pilani Campus is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / prospective PhD position in a DRDO-sponsored research project at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. Project title: Synergistic approach to Encrypted Traffic Classification leveraging FlowPic, Data Augmentation and Contrastive Learning . The selected candidate will work on AI-driven encrypted traffic classification , including PCAP preprocessing, FlowPic and other visual traffic representations, deep learning, contrastive learning, model benchmarking, and explainability-oriented experiments. Funding: JRF fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month for 24 months , funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) . Eligibility: Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, or allied areas are encouraged to apply. Strong programming skills and interest in machine learning/deep learning, network traffic analysis, and cybersecurity are preferred. The selected candidate may also be encouraged to register for the PhD programme at BITS Pilani, subject to institute admission requirements and the selection process.
