Postdoctoral Researcher in Theoretical Quantum Information Science (QEC & Photonic Quantum Computing)

Postdoctoral Researcher opportunity in Theoretical Quantum Information Science at the Quantum Information Theory Group , Department of Physics, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) , South Korea. The position focuses on research in quantum error correction (QEC) , including novel QEC codes, fault-tolerant protocols, and decoding algorithms; photonic quantum computing , including continuous-variable (CV) and discrete-variable (DV) photonic systems, cluster states, and bosonic codes; and advanced quantum circuits and benchmarking of quantum systems and bosonic circuits. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Theoretical Physics, or a closely related field . A strong background in theoretical quantum information and peer-reviewed publications is expected, and experience with QEC, optical/photonic quantum computing, or bosonic systems is preferred. The appointment is initially for 2 years , with possible extension depending on performance and funding.
