PhD Position in Generative AI, Agentic AI and Multi-Agent Systems for Smart Agriculture
PhD position in
Generative AI, Agentic AI, Multi-Agent Systems, Smart Agriculture
at
École Polytechnique de Tunisie
within the
SERCOM Laboratory
, as part of the
BRIDGE-AI
Horizon Europe project.
The project focuses on AI-driven decision support for agriculture, combining
multimodal fusion
,
IoT sensor streams
,
Earth Observation imagery
, weather forecasts, and agronomic knowledge to produce transparent and trustworthy recommendations for farmers.
Research directions include semantic harmonisation and interoperability (NGSI-LD, FAIR data principles), agentic AI architectures for autonomous agricultural decision support, multi-agent systems for distributed sensing/reasoning/planning/coordination, and human-AI collaboration.
The validation context is a real-world pilot on
pomegranate farming in the Sousse region of Tunisia
, with access to deployed IoT infrastructure, satellite imagery, and operational pilot sites. The position is full-time and salaried, funded by the BRIDGE-AI project (GA n° 101299050).
Eligibility highlights: an
engineering degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur)
is required, along with prior AI experience through a Master's thesis, final-year project (PFE), or research internship. Interest in Generative AI, LLMs, Multi-Agent Systems, Computer Vision, or Remote Sensing is strongly preferred.
To apply, send a CV, academic transcripts, and a short motivation letter to the listed email addresses. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged.
