Postdoc in Multi-UAV Systems and Multi-Robot Aerial Manipulation of Flexible Objects

The Laboratory of Systems Engineering and Robotics (LASER) at the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil , is advertising one postdoctoral research position in a recently funded project sponsored by Petrobras: RAHA - Autonomous Hybrid Terrain Robots for Wetlands and Floodplains (reference 2024/00573-5). The research topic is Multi-Robot Aerial Manipulation of Flexible Objects , with a broader focus on multi-UAV systems , aerial robotics, multi-robot coordination, control, trajectory planning, image processing, and real-world robotic experimentation. The position is supervised by Prof. Tiago Nascimento , a Professor and Researcher in Aerial and Ground Robotics. Funding and conditions: the postdoc includes a monthly stipend of R$ 10,318.00 (approximately €1,750 ), support for visa acquisition, and an initial 2-year contract that may be renewed annually for up to 2 more years depending on performance. The postdoc can start immediately, though later start dates are also possible. Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD in computer engineering, computer science, mechatronics engineering, robotics, or a related field; have at least one robotics journal publication in venues such as RA-L, T-RO, T-FR, IJRR, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, or Autonomous Robots; and demonstrate strong C++ programming ability with ROS 2 development experience.
