Singapore-Southeast Asia Fellowship (S-SEAF)

Singapore-Southeast Asia Fellowship (S-SEAF) is a postdoctoral fellowship supporting researchers from ASEAN and Singapore to undertake research stints in Singapore or Southeast Asia.

The post shared by Alex Cook, Professor and Vice Dean (Global Health) at the National University of Singapore, highlights a potential placement with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH).

Research areas: public health, global health, infectious diseases, STEM research, and broader RIE2030-aligned themes including manufacturing, trade and connectivity, human health and potential, urban solutions and sustainability, and smart nation/digital economy.

Eligibility: applicants must hold a PhD in a STEM discipline, be fluent in written and spoken English, and meet nationality requirements. Inbound applicants must be citizens of ASEAN countries (excluding Singapore PRs). Outbound applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore PRs.

Funding: the fellowship includes salary support, a monthly living allowance of S$2,000, and one return economy-class airfare. Duration is up to 2 years, with shorter infectious-disease attachments possible in some cases.

Application materials: completed application form endorsed by the proposed host institution, two referees, passport, CV, and bachelor’s, master’s (if applicable), and PhD transcripts and degree certificates.

Deadline: 1 August 2026.
